Heat

Catch the sun
Don’t let it in

Cause if it falls

You will burn
The heat around

Is really hot

The clouds vapour out

In the sky itself
There is no sign of rain

No trace of wind

Just the dazzling yellow light

Ready to cook you up alive
Water and lime

Don’t help at all

The fan is tired

Moving round
Sleepy in the morning

Drowsy in the day

Delirious at night

What is this life!
The leaves wilt away

The soil is hardly moist

The butterflies find their shelter

The tiny ants pay no heed

To sugar kept in heat
The tiny kids with loads on

Walk on the streets

As they stumble along

But the shiny ball in the sky

Doesn’t show any mercy at all
